Department of Chemistry
The initiative for foundation of the Department of Chemistry at the J.J. Strossmayer University was set in motion by the decision of University Senate on April 20th 2005. During the August of the same year, the Department was registered in the Trading Court of Osijek as the Department of Chemistry at the University of Osijek; the Founding session of the Department Council was held on March 10th 2006. Although we don't have a long history, we are doing our best to build our future as an institution for high education and scientific research in all areas of chemistry.
The Permit issued by the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports of the Republic of Croatia on June 26th 2007, authorizes the Department of Chemistry for conducting the University Undergraduate Study Program of Chemistry (Bachelor level, three year program) and the first generation of students enrolled into that Program in the fall semester of academic year 2007/08.
OPEN DAY OF THE DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY
FOR THE FIRST TIME, THERE WILL BE AN OPEN DAY OF THE DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY AT THE UNIVERSITY OF OSIJEK, ON TUESDAY 28.TH OF APRIL 2009. ALL INTERESTED ARE INVITED TO ATTEND WORKSHOPS AND LECTURES ORGINISED BY OUR STUDENTS AND TEACHING STAFF. EVERYONE IS WELLCOME TO VISIT OUR LABORATORIES AND MEET OUR CURRENT STUDENTS AND STAFF.
